Quality Educational Programs

The Department of Educational Quality Assurance (DACE) of the Autonomous University of Baja California is the entity responsible for supervising and guaranteeing excellence in the operation of undergraduate educational programs. Its objective is to directly impact the learning experience of students, providing them with the necessary skills to face professional challenges and contribute to the economic and social development of the region.

In this way, among the main functions of the DACE is to coordinate the processes of self-evaluation and accreditation before national and international External Evaluation and Accreditation Bodies (IEVA). To achieve this, various strategies of continuous improvement are implemented, ensuring the quality and constant improvement of the educational programs offered by the university. These strategies include:

• •Accompany and methodologically advise the groups responsible for the academic units in the quality assurance processes.
• •Supervise and support in the preparation of self-studies and integration of documentary evidence and other required inputs, for subsequent submission to external evaluation and accreditation bodies.
• •Propose and contribute to the design of self-evaluation work plans for the purposes of accreditation, reaccreditation and recognition of the good quality of undergraduate programs.
• •Manage and establish contact with national and foreign accrediting bodies for the accreditation of bachelor's degree programs.
• •Promote and suggest the implementation of actions and procedures within the academic units aimed at continuous improvement.

Likewise, as part of the process of continuous improvement and monitoring of the operation of the undergraduate educational programs, the DACE relies on the Teaching and Research Support Departments (DADI) on each campus for the design and monitoring of the Improvement Plans that are defined based on the observations and recommendations received by the IEVA.
